Art is Fashion is Art - SF Arts Ed Workshop

Fashion and art have a long and storied history. In this weeklong workshop, students will be introduced to fashion and designers directly influenced by the art world. Then they will create their own garment using Minnesota Street Project’s galleries and exhibitions as inspiration – turn a painting into a dress, a sculpture into an accessory, blur the line between art and fashion and create something unique, artful and inspired in the process.

More is More: Outside-the-Box Accessories - SF Arts Ed Workshop

Continuing the theme of maximalism, we will look at scale, form, and material to realize fun and whimsical larger-than-life accessories. Taking cues from pivotal points in fashion history and exploring various adornments from millinery to statement piece jewelry, we’ll create the ultimate expression to celebrate the beauty of the  human form.
